Homestead is hosting a Summer Dinner as we take time to embrace Summer. We miss the days when summer was about relaxing and being present with friends. Now it is about working or squeezing friends in when we can. Let's not be content with that. We gather around good food, the summer evening sounds and smells, and new friends.
"Aaah, summer - that long anticipated stretch of lazy, lingering days, free of responsibility and rife with possibility. It's a time to hunt for insects, master handstands, practice swimming strokes, conquer trees, explore nooks and crannies, and make new friends."
- Darell Hammond
Location: The Politte Manor

An invitation to come and be present in the midst of our busy lives. To learn to be present with each other, to shut down, and shut off the distractions. To create space for life to happen. To slow down and actually have a conversation. To shut down our worries, our burdens, and our busyness... An evening gathered around friends, good conversation, and beer sampling.
"Wanderlust" - a strong desire for or impulse to wander or travel and explore the world.
If you have received an invite, whether word of mouth or card, Please RSVP here.
Friendsgiving was a chance to pause, choosing to exist with friends. We have this innate need to hibernate beginning around Fall and what comes with that is a reclusiveness. Needing to be around others is by no means a sign of weakness, but rather an acknowledgement that we're created people made to be around people. To laugh, to eat, to listen to one another's stories, and to rest. We rested in good company and fine food giving thanks for each other.
It was an amazing time with old and new friends. PLEASE VIEW IMAGES FROM THIS DINNER HERE.
